Southampton announce Sanctuary Scholarship for 2022-23 students
The University of Southampton have announced the Sanctuary Scholarship for new undergraduate and postgraduate students starting in 2022-23 is available to apply for.
The Sanctuary Scholarship will support two students per year seeking sanctuary in the UK to undertake a course in higher education. The University will:
- Cover fees
- Provide an £8,000 bursary to help with additional costs
- Support students with university accommodation costs if required
Students applying for the scholarship will need to have an immigration status such as:
- have been granted refugee status AND Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR)
- been granted five years’ limited leave as a refugee, and intend to apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR)
- have been granted Humanitarian Protection (HP) AND Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR)
