Scholarships at Keele University

The Award

We are pleased to announce that we will be offering this new Scholarship for September 2023 entry, which provides three successful candidates with a full tuition fee reduction and three successful candidates with a 50% tuition fee reduction. The Scholarship is based on an application, and awards will be made by a selection panel.

Successful students will be expected to act as ambassadors for Keele University and provide content for the Global Student Recruitment and Admissions Office in the form of testimonials, video content, and through active engagement in our ambassador programme.

Eligibility

Open to International (including EU) students, who are eligible to pay overseas fees.

To be considered for the Vice Chancellors Scholarship, you must hold a conditional or unconditional offer to study at the University of Keele at the time of your Scholarship application. Please note that students must hold an Unconditional offer by the closing date of the Scholarship application (30^th June 2023).

You must also have achieved, or be on track to meet the following criteria:

• First Class or equivalent in Bachelors  

You must also currently hold a recognised English Language certificate which meets the following criteria:

• IELTS 7.0 or above; or equivalent  

Hold an offer to study at Keele University for an eligible programme. Please note that students must hold an Unconditional Offer for their chosen programme by the Scholarship application deadline (30^th June 2023).

The Award

For the full time MBA, Scholarships are available for both UK and International Students.

Eligibility

Enrolled International students who have achieved the following undergraduate awards in their undergraduate study will automatically be awarded the scholarship as a tuition fee discount:

• £5,000 scholarship offered to students with 2:1 or above qualification and that meet our other entry requirements.

• £3,000 scholarship offered to students with 2:2 equivalent and that meet our other entry requirements.

• Qualifying recipients of the scholarship will receive the award in the form of a tuition fee discount. No cash alternative is available and the award cannot be used in place of any required deposit.

• The Scholarship is for students who will be based at Keele University and start their studies in September 2023. The award cannot be used for any other year of entry.

This scholarship scheme is part of the GREAT Scholarships 2023 campaign, which has been launched by the British Council together with UK universities to support more students to access world-class UK higher education opportunities.

GREAT Scholarships are jointly funded by Keele University with the UK government’s GREAT Britain campaign and the British Council.

We are offering £10,000 towards tuition fees for one-year master’s programmes to students from Bangladesh, China, Ghana, Kenya, India, Nigeria, and Pakistan, who will enrol at Keele University in the 2023-24 academic year. Eleven scholarships are available (Three each for Nigera and India, one each for Bangladesh, China, Ghana, Kenya, and Pakistan) in the following subjects: 

• MSc Advanced Computer Science

• MSc Computer Science

• MSc Accounting and Financial Management

• MSc Banking and Finance

• MSc Business Analytics

• MSc Enterprise and Innovation

• MA Human Resource Management

• MSc International Business

• MSc Investment Management

• MSc Management

• MSc Marketing

• MBA

Please note that applicants must be Bangladeshi, Chinese, Ghanaian, Kenyan, Nigerian, Indian, or Pakastani passport holders.

Great Scholarships for Climate Change

The Great Scholarship for climate change is jointly funded by Keele University with the UK governoment's GREAT Britain campaign and the British Council. 

We are offering £10,000 towards tuition fees for a one-year master's programme to a student from Nigeria who will enrol at Keele University in the 2023-24 academic year. One scholarship is available in the following subject: 

• MSc Environmental Sustainability and Green Technology

Please note that applicants must be Nigerian passport holders. 

The Award

Awards of £5,000 in Year 1 for students who exceed published entry requirements, then further payments of £1,000 for Year 2 and 3 if a 2.1 is maintained, and further payments of £2,000 for Year 2 and Year 3 if a 1st is maintained.

Eligibility

Enrolled undergraduate international students who exceed the published entry requirements (as per the prospectus for the year of entry) will automatically be awarded the scholarship as a tuition fee discount.

Exceptions

Qualifying recipients of the scholarship will receive the award in the form of a tuition fee discount. No cash alternative is available and the award cannot be used in place of any required deposit.

The Scholarship is for full-time undergraduate students who will be based at Keele University and start their studies in September 2023. The award cannot be used for any other year of entry.

The scholarship is not available for students on the following programmes:

• entering Foundation Year study

• Medicine programmes

• Programmes delivered through the Harper and Keele Veterinary School

Only self-funding international students are eligible and you must be confirmed as an overseas student for fee paying purposes. The scholarship is not open to students who are in receipt of funding from external bodies such as local Government, charities or private organisations.

The Award

Enrolled undergraduate international students who exceed published entry requirements who start their studies at Keele University part way through their undergraduate degree (after the first year). 

Awards of £3,000 for students who exceed published entry requirements (as per the website for the year of entry), with subsequent awards of £1,000 or £2,000 reduction on the next year's fees based on performance. For final year entry students, £3,000 scholarship at entry. 

Eligibility

Enrolled undergraduate international students who exceed the published entry requirements (as per the website for the year of entry) will automatically be awarded the scholarship as a tuition fee discount. 

Enrolled undergraduate international students accepted at or below the published entry criteria will be awarded a £1,000 scholarship and then they would follow the yearly assessment as outlined above. 

The Award

Enrolled international students who have achieved the following undergraduate awards in their undergraduate study will automatically be awarded the scholarship as a tuition fee discount: 

• 1st - £6,000

• 2:1 - £3,500

• 2:2 - £2,000

Please note that this will be assessed as per the University's defined eqivalence.

The Scholarship is for students who will be based at Keele University and start their studies in September 2023, or January 2024. The award cannot be used for any other year of entry. 

Only self-funded international students are elegible, and you must be confirmed as an overseas student for fee paying purposes. The Scholarship is not open to students who are in receipt of funding from external bodies such as local government, charities or private organisations. 

The award is not available for students studying the following programmes: 

• MBA

• Medicine

• PGCE

• Physiotherapy 

• Social work 

You must be registered on, and attending, a taught postgraduate course that equates to at least one year's full-time study at postgraduate level and leads to a named award of at least Postgraduate Diploma level at Keele University from September 2023 onwards. This means, for example, that students who attain, or are registered on, a Postgraduate Certificate course, will not recieve an award. Students registered for a PhD or an MPhil are not elegible to recieve an award. 

The Scholarship is not available for students studying wholly online courses delivered by Keele.
