Aston University is known for its friendly campus community with students from over 120 different countries. As an Aston student you’ll be better prepared for your future career from having shared your classroom with international students from all over the world.

Aston University has a proud network of Global Ambassadors, made up of international students who share their story and experience of studying at Aston with others around the world.

Global Ambassadors represent Aston University in many different ways, such as attending events and Open Days, making videos and posting on social media, and speaking to people about what life is like as an international student at Aston.

How much is this scholarship worth?

Successful applicants will be awarded £3,000 to help with tuition fees. Successful applicants are required to become a Global Ambassador and will help to represent Aston University flexibly alongside their studies.

Who can apply?

International students from any country outside of the EU can apply. This scholarship is available for students applying to all undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes (excluding the MBA).

What type of student is likely to receive this scholarship?

Aston University welcomes students from all backgrounds. We take pride in our diverse student body who come not only from all over the world, but also from a wide range of social and educational backgrounds. This scholarship will be awarded to students who demonstrate the enthusiasm, pride and ability to represent Aston University and share their experience with others.

How do I apply?

To apply you will need to log into your My Aston Portal (MAP) account, where you will find a link to the scholarship application form. Details on how to access your MAP account can be found in your offer email.

You will be asked to write a short supporting statement, which will be judged by a panel. Applications are open now.

When is the deadline?

The deadline to apply for this scholarship:

Round 1: 31st March 2020
Round 2: 29th May 2020

If you are successful in being awarded this scholarship, we kindly ask that you accept your place and pay your deposit by the deadline stated in your offer letter.

What happens next? 

If your application is successful, you will be awarded £3,000 to help with tuition fees. Successful applicants are required to become a Global Ambassador and will help to represent Aston University flexibly alongside their studies. Read the full terms and conditions.

Can I apply for more than one scholarship?

You can only receive one scholarship but you are able to apply for multiple scholarships. If you are successful in being awarded multiple scholarships, the highest value scholarship will be awarded to you. Scholarships will automatically be credited to your student account in the form of a tuition fee reduction.
