Our Departments of Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science offer Departmental Scholarships to Single Honours (£500 a year) or Joint Honours (£250 a year) applicants to their courses.

Up to £500 per year.

How can I apply?

To qualify, applicants must be holding Aberystwyth as their Firm choice of University and either be in receipt of a University Entrance Scholarship in the relevant subject or:

  • Mathematics: achieve a grade A* in A-level Mathematics;
  • Physics: achieve at least two A grades at A-level, one of which must be Physics;
  • Computer Science: achieve excellent (A*) A-level grades.

The award is retained provided an exam average of 70% or above is achieved in the relevant subject modules each year.

How will I be paid?

You will receive two payments in equal instalments direct into your bank account each year – the first at the start of December and the second at the start of March.
