The International Education Institute (IE) at the University of St Andrews offers a range of high quality university preparation programmes and Summer school courses for international students. We also offer Masters programmes in TESOL (on-campus and distance-learning) and pre-sessional courses.
University of St Andrews’ International Education Institute (IE) offers a variety of international year one and university foundation programmes for international students with both September and January start dates. The international foundation programmes at St Andrews are:

The Summer Academic Experience Courses (SAEC) offer pupils from around the world the unique opportunity to experience courses taught in the Scottish academic tradition by current academic staff. Students will get to study an academic subject of their choice, whilst also developing their academic research and writing skills. Experiencing a real taster of university life, Summer students have access to our world-class facilities: they have their own student ID card, stay in University accommodation and are taught by university staff across the following range of courses:
Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) includes a wide range of specialisms and has global relevance. In order to support the career ambitions of aspiring and existing TESOL practitioners, the University of St Andrews offers a variety of programmes, including on-campus and distance learning, full time and part time, and full degrees or single modules.
