University of York has announced Scholarships for Indian Students for 2018
The University of York is pleased to offer 7 Scholarships specifically for Indian students for its September 2018 Intake. The scholarships are open to Indian applicants holding an offer of study at York for a Bachelor or a Master degree. These prestigious Scholarships will recognize the academic excellence by offering a tuition fee discount of up to £5,000 and the funding is available for one year.
The University of York is a collegiate plate glass Research University located in the south-east city of York, England. Expanded to more than 30 departments, covering a wide range of subjects York was ranked the 14th best Research University in UK for average quality of research submitted.
York has a long history of welcoming Indian students and is providing a range of subjects including Biology, Computer science, Economics, electronic engineering, English Literature, Management, Politics and Law.
Entry Requirements
Undergraduate Course:
- Typical offers for Standard XII (awarded by a recognised Board of Higher Secondary Education) are an overall average score ranging 80%-85%, with specific subject grades required for certain courses.
- Good A level and International Baccalaureate grades are also accepted.
- Some courses also have additional requirements such as work experience or submission of written work
Postgraduate taught course:
- Typically you would need at least the equivalent to a UK upper second class honours degree; however some courses will accept lower second class honours degrees. Actual requirements will vary by course.

- For a research degree, such as an MPhil or a PhD, you would normally need a bachelor’s degree plus either a master’s degree in a relevant subject or some experience of conducting research.
