For the seventh year in a row, the University of Oxford has retained the top spot in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Ranking, closely followed by fellow UK universities the University of Cambridge and Imperial College London in 3rd and 10th respectively.
Whilst the “golden triangle” (Oxford, Cambridge, and Imperial College London) dominates the top 10, the big UK mover was the University of Bristol, who jumped 16 places and ranked 76th overall.
The 2023 edition is the most extensive ranking by the THE, with a record of 1,799 universities surveyed across 104 countries. The rankings of the universities were based on 13 different metrics covering the key criteria: teaching, research and citation, knowledge transfer, and international outlook.
Of the result, Oxford vice-chancellor Dame Louise Richardson said the success lays at the feet of: “the extraordinary women and men of Oxford whose research and teaching continues to excite our imaginations, broaden our horizons, cure disease and explore deeply difficult problems for the betterment of society”.

I sincerely thank SI-UK for getting me accepted to UCL. The MSc in Urban Development and Planning is extremely competitive, but the right guidance provided by SI-UK made my dream of studying at University College London a reality. The services were exceptional from beginning to end.
