Universities in the UK are planning to move lectures for the next academic term online to maintain safety while observing the norms of social distancing. The University of Manchester was the first to confirm to deliver all lectures online for the next academic term and many other universities are likely to follow suit.
The University of Cambridge also announced to move all face-to-face lectures online for the whole academic year 2020/21 becoming the first university in the UK to do so. While the University confirmed to continue virtual lectures until the Summer 2021 term, it expressed the possibility of conducting in person tutorials for smaller teaching groups conforming to the social distancing requirements. According to the university spokesman, “The University is constantly adapting to changing advice as it emerges during this pandemic. This decision has been taken now to facilitate planning, but as ever, will be reviewed should there be changes to official advice on coronavirus”.
Universities in the UK are going ahead as planned with the September/ October 2020 entry and Indian students can directly meet top UK universities at the SI-UK University Fair Online for more updates and first hand information. Register today for free entry to the Fair on Saturday June 13, 1pm to 7pm IST.
I sincerely thank SI-UK for getting me accepted to UCL. The MSc in Urban Development and Planning is extremely competitive, but the right guidance provided by SI-UK made my dream of studying at University College London a reality. The services were exceptional from beginning to end.
