From 2002-03, there’s a 18% rise in the number of students applying for STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) courses, and every year there’s a rise of 3-6% in STEM courses. In 2013-14, 98,000 were accepted in Stem undergraduate courses, highest number ever.
In a recent survey conducted by the British Council, the international students studying stem rated the UK highest for the quality of teaching, courses, and resources. When researchers asked post graduate stem students the primary reasons for choosing UK to study:
