UCL ranked the best in the world for Education by QS Subject Rankings 2022

University College London has been named the best university in the world for Education by the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2022.

It is the 9th year in a row that the UCL Institute of Education has maintained its position as the best in the world for Education.

Professor Li Wei, Director and Dean of IOE, said: “This is the ninth year in a row that IOE has been ranked number one in the world for Education. In any year this would be cause for celebration. It is especially welcome in 2022 as we celebrate IOE’s 120th anniversary and 120 years at the forefront of research and teaching on education and society.

“The ranking is once again testament to the intellectual strength of our work, driven by our commitment to equalising opportunities and empowering individuals and societies. IOE represents one of the world’s greatest concentrations of expertise on education, but also the lives of children and young people, their families and communities – bridging the spheres of learning, work, culture, technology and health."
