University of Edinburgh in World’s Top 20 Universities

Three Scottish universities including the University of Edinburgh are in the world top 100 universities ranked by the latest QS World University Rankings 2021. The universities are ranked based on employer and academic reputation, class size, research output and international and student numbers.. 

University of Edinburgh is at the forefront of Scottish universities and is ranked 20th best in the world. Other Scottish universities in the top 100 are University of Glasgow at 77th and University of St. Andrews at 96th position. Scottish universities offer the highest rates of student satisfaction in the UK for teaching as also for graduate employability with a high proportion of scottish university graduates finding employment after course completion or moving onto further education. 

University of Edinburgh is a renowned centre for research and teaching and is also counted amongst the oldest UK universities and the most prestigious. Its School of Veterinary Studies is ranked 1st in the world for veterinary science (Guardian University Guide 2020).
