The University of the Year award has been given to Loughborough by The Times and Sunday Times University Guide 2019 recently. The award has been the significant indicator of university’s commitment to excellence.
The award recognises Loughborough’s teaching quality, student experience, graduate employability and outstanding success in sport.

Alastair McCall, editor of The Times and Sunday Times University Guide has written following Loughborough’s success that the university has found a formula that makes its graduates among the most sought after in the land.
Loughborough University have also climbed two places to 5th out of 132 UK universities in the league table and are the Midlands’ top-ranked university, in every national newspaper league table for 2019. Loughborough is the only university in the history of the guide to take the coveted University of Year title twice.
