La Universidad de Manchester ocupó el primer lugar en el Reino Unido y Europa, y el tercer lugar en el mundo, en la edición de 2024 del QS World University Rankings for Sostenibilidad.

La clasificación sigue a la noticia de que Manchester ganó el premio "Acción Climática 2030" en los prestigiosos premios Green Gown del Reino Unido e Irlanda en reconocimiento a su trabajo "progresista e innovador" para descarbonizar las operaciones de la Universidad.

El Dr. Julian Skyrme, director de Responsabilidad Social de Manchester, dijo: “Esta clasificación de QS utiliza una amplia gama de puntos de evidencia únicos que se basan en nuestra investigación, enseñanza, participación pública y operaciones universitarias.
