King's College London have been named as the best university in the UK and second in the world for Nursing following the publication of the 2019 QS World University Rankings by Subject.
The Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing & Midwifery at King's College London has now been in the top five in the world in three of the rankings five year existence.
Professor Ian Norman, executive dean of the Florence Nightingale faculty of nursing and midwifery at King’s College London, said: “Through our commitment to world-class teaching and research our staff are making a positive difference to the lives of those in receipt of nursing, midwifery and palliative care services.”
Other UK universities in the top ten included the University of Manchester, who maintained their third position, and the University of Southampton, who finished fifth. The QS World Rankings by Subject assess universities in four key areas: academic reputation, employer reputation, research impact and performance of scholars.
