The University of Cambridge has finished top of the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide for an eighth successive year, narrowly beating off competition from Oxbridge rival Oxford.
The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide is the UK’s leading domestic university rankings provider. The top three of Cambridge, University of Oxford and the University of St Andrews remained the same as 2020, with the London School of Economics moving into fourth place and Imperial College London finishing fifth. Cambridge was also ranked 3rd for its graduate prospects and came out top in 32 of 67 subject tables.
Notable risers in the 2021 Guide included Edinburgh Napier University and Bishop Grosseteste University both moving up 38 places to 63rd and 64th place respectivley, Cardiff Metropolitan University who rose 33 places to 79th and Bournemouth University moving up 26 places to 68th.
