British Council announces scholarships worth INR 100 million

British Council: Scholarships and financial support

The British Council has announced the single largest number of GREAT Britain Education Scholarships by offering around 370 scholarships for the year 2017. The total worth of these scholarships is over £ 1 million (Approx 15 Crores) as part of the ‘GREAT BRITAIN’ campaign “GREAT” along with a new proposition ‘Study UK: Discover You’

The GREAT campaign promotes the incomparable British education and aims the experiences, expertise and confidence that students can gain from UK study through the new proposition Study UK: Discover You.

It also emphasizes the attributes of the UK higher education system such as immaculate academic standards, its dynamic and supportive teaching, its globally approved qualifications and high level of Graduate employability.

Students may avail these 198 GREAT scholarships in subject areas ranging from Art & Design to Engineering, Law, Business, Biosciences, IT and more for 29 undergraduate and 169 postgraduate courses at 40 UK institutions across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

The GREAT scholarships provide a great opportunity for Indian students to study, whether in the UK or overseas, or through distance learning, online provision, and other models. The application process for Great scholarship is open for January 2018 Intake.
