300 New Scholarships in UK Universities for Indian Students

British Minister, Sajid Javid, Secretary of State for Business, Innovation, and Skills announced 300 new scholarships worth £1.5m will be offered in September 2016. The announcement came at the launch of the ‘2016: UK-India Year of Education Research and Innovation (UKIERI)’.

"Around 300 new scholarships for Indian students will be offered in September 2016. Scholarships of around 3,000-5,000 pounds each will be provided to students for admissions in more than 40 universities in the UK," said Sajid Javid.

He also said that the UK is committed to supporting PM Narendra Modi’s to initiative to train young Indians for the 21st century.
