100 PhD Studentships at Northumbria University-2016

The University is in the Times Higher Education UK top 50 for research power, based on the results of the Research Excellence Framework. The results of this exercise also showed that Northumbria was the biggest riser in the research power rankings since the previous exercise in 2008. As part of our continued commitment to research excellence, the University is offering up to 100 funded PhD studentships, to commence from October 2016. Studentship opportunities are available across all Faculties. As part of the University’s developing research strategy, we are growing research in a number of Multidisciplinary Research Themes:

• Integrated Health and Social Care

• Bioeconomy

• Digital Living

• Extreme Environments

• Future Engineering

• Ideation: Critically Aware Design Innovation

• Environmental and Global Justice
