The University of Strathclyde was formally awarded university status in 1964 and currently has almost 23,000 students enrolled from 100 countries on a single campus in the heart of Glasgow, Scotland. Strathclyde was awarded University of the Year in 2012 and Entrepreneurial University of the Year in 2013 by Times Higher Education.
The University is known both for its business school and close links with industry. Strathclyde is one of only 55 universities in the world that is ‘triple accredited’ by all three major bodies, and they recently opened another campus near Delhi. Many courses, such as product design and innovation or international business with modern languages, have been specifically designed with industry experts. The engineering faculty is the biggest in Scotland and has the largest electrical power engineering and energy research facility in Europe.
