The University of Sheffield was ranked within the top 100 global universities in the QS World University Rankings 2022. The university was founded in 1905 by the merger of three colleges. Currently, around 28,000 students from over 120 countries are completing their higher education at this university. Sheffield students voted the University number one for student experience in a Times survey.
Services Provided by the University of Sheffield for International Students
The University of Sheffield has an International Student Support Team to assist international students with specific needs such as visas and accommodations.
At the beginning of each academic year, the university arranges a meet and greet service from Manchester International Airport along with a residential orientation programme. Intro Week involves talks by University staff, information fairs, and tours around the campus and city to help students settle into life in the UK.
