Keele University

Keele University was the first new UK university of the twentieth century, established with degree giving powers in 1949 as the University College of North Staffordshire. Keele University was founded to promote interdisciplinary and multi-disciplinary scholarship and pioneered the Dual Honours degree, which is still taken by around 70 per cent of students. Single honours degrees are also available, as is a multi-disciplinary foundation year.

Keele University has the UK’s largest campus and occupies a 2.5 km2 estate with extensive woods, lakes and beautiful parkland. The central feature of the estate is the 19th century Keele Hall, registered by English Heritage as Grade II.
