The university has more than 25,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students and is a major employer in the city of Glasgow with more than 6,000 staff, including 2,000 active researchers. The University of Glasgow’s Faculty of Engineering is the oldest in the UK, while the only Department of Aerospace Engineering in Scotland is at Glasgow.
