The University of Bristol is internationally distinguished as one of the most influential universities in the world. Situated in the heart of Bristol, the university is a world leader in research and is one of the 24 members of the Russell Group. The University of Bristol is ranked as the 29th best University in the world and graduate employment rates are high, while the dropout rate is among the lowest in the country.

Bristol is one of the original "red brick" universities - the six universities founded in the major industrial cities of England - and regularly ranks amongst the top 25 universities in the UK on most major league tables. Bristol also receives more applications than any other UK university. 86% of students are awarded either a First or 2:1.

20,000 students study at the University from over 100 countries, with many University of Bristol programmes offering the option to study abroad for one year. Bristol International Airport is 20 minutes away from the city centre, and London – with links to Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted - is 90 minutes away by train.
