St. George’s University (SGU), Grenada

St. George’s University, founded in 1976 as an independent School of Medicine, has evolved as a world class international university located in the picturesque Caribbean island of Grenada, West Indies. At its Newcastle campus in the UK, SGU offers international students a unique opportunity to study a Doctor of Medicine (MD) in the UK by completing upto 50% of the degree in the UK. The students are required to complete one year of integrated basic sciences at the technologically advanced campus in Grenada. SGU is affiliated with more than 70 hospitals and clinics in the US and the UK to provide students excellent opportunities to gain a hands-on clinical experience.

SGU’s alumni network consists of eminent scientists, physicians, veterinarians, public health and business professionals practicing around the world. The university offers independent and dual graduate degrees in the sciences, public health and business. At the Schools of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine, medical and veterinary medical degrees are offered. At the School of Arts and Sciences, other undergraduate degree programmes are also available.
