In 2005, University College Northampton was awarded university title and full research degree awarding powers becoming The University of Northampton. The institution originates from the 1924 Northampton Technical College. It currently has marginally fewer than 10,000 students, with 1,000 international students from over 100 countries. It is in the East Midlands, a little over 100 km north of London.
It aims to be the top university in the UK for social enterprise, and has already been named the UK’s first ‘Change maker Campus’ by Ashoka. All degree courses contain some aspect of social enterprise, generally through work placements or volunteering. The university is also globally renowned in subjects such as waste management, leather technology and fashion. Northampton has seen very rapid growth recently, rising forty places in The Times Good University Guide from the previous year.
I had a very great experience right from the start to finish; All the staff were really great and very helpful. I recommend SI-UK for all students who are planning to study in the UK.
