Edinburgh Napier University is one of the top-ranked Scottish universities, having gained full university status in June 1992. The university currently has around 12,500 students enrolled and is largely located in Edinburgh’s east end. Edinburgh Napier has made quite a name for its film education in collaboration with the Edinburgh College of Art.
Edinburgh Napier University is particularly for its international partnerships, evident by the fact that about 3,000 students studying degrees at various institutes in Hong Kong, Singapore, and India. ENU is ranked eighth in the UK for ‘value added’, which measures students' entry qualifications against the degree results they achieve in future. Some of the popular alumni of the university are Sharmila Tagore (Bollywood actor), Tom Kitchin (International Chef), Chris Paterson (Scottish International Rugby player), and Catriona Shearer (BBC broadcaster)
