24,000+ students from more than 80 countries are studying at Birmingham City University(BCU). At the Research Excellence Framework 2014, 90% of BCU research was deemed "outstanding" or "very considerable."

According to the recent National Student Survey, 87% of Birmingham City University students were happy with the teaching faculty, and 84% were pleased with the university's courses. 

Graduates from BCU enjoy professional accreditation, including Accountancy, Acting, Architecture, Education, Engineering, Law, Marketing, Nursing, Radiography, and Social Work. 

Birmingham City University has eight main campuses and schools in the Birmingham area. Recently, the university has opened three new buildings; The Curzon Building in 2015 houses business, English, law, and social science courses; City Centre Campus: The Parkside Building in 2013 for media and design students; and the latest Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, which opened in 2017.
