In the Government's most recent Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) for Higher Education Institutes, Anglia Ruskin came out as the top-rated modern university for Psychology, 2nd for English Language & Literature (including contributions from Communication, Film and Media), and 3rd for History. 31% of its submissions were rated as ‘Internationally Excellent’ or ‘World Leading’, including departments such as English, History, Psychology and Geography. Anglia Ruskin was ranked 110th in the UK by The Times University Guide in 2014, 105th in the UK by the Complete University Guide and 67th by The Guardian.
