Overview

Teesside University is the first modern university to win the prestigious Times Higher Education award.

There are currently around 24,000 students studying here on a range of courses, from diplomas and degrees to postgraduate qualifications.

University’s compact, town-centre campus, situated in the north-east of England, offers excellent academic facilities and guaranteed university-managed accommodation which is some of the most affordable in the UK. International students have rated Teesside University as number one for student satisfaction.

Teesside has also won nine National Teaching Fellowships for excellence in teaching. Many of the courses give you the chance to gain practical experience working in business and industry. Location

Teesside University is at the heart of Middlesbrough and the campus is a few minutes walk from the town centre. Multimillion pound investments in the town centre and campus have created an exciting environment that’s perfect for today’s students. Middlesbrough is a fantastic starting point from which you can explore the north. Durham, Newcastle upon Tyne, York and Leeds are all within easy reach. Middlesbrough is half an hour away by train from Darlington Station which operates a nationwide service. Durham Tees Valley Airport (13 miles away) and Newcastle International Airport (less than 50 miles away) have flight connections to London (Heathrow) and Amsterdam (Schiphol). At the gateway to two English regions, Northumbria and North Yorkshire, Middlesbrough is surrounded by breathtaking countryside and coastal scenery.

Campuses

Apart from the main campus, the University has a campus in Darlington named Teesside University Darlington.

Teesside is ranked 90th in the Times Good University ranking 2011.
