University of St Andrews - English Language Teaching Centre

The English Language Teaching Centre at the University of St Andrews offers a range of high quality English language and university preparation programmes for international students. Since 1990, they have been helping undergraduate and postgraduate students achieve their goal of successful university entrance with improved language skills, through thier foundation and pre-sessional programmes.

Foundation programmes

The ELT Centre offers a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate university preparation programmes for international students.

Undergraduate

Postgraduate

• Pre-masters programmeDiploma in Business and English

Pre-Masters Business Programme

A one-year full-time preparation course in academic English language and study skills, which includes intoductory academic lecture/seminar courses in various business-related subject areas. The course is taught by staff from the University of St Andrews English Language Teaching Unit and The School of Management.

Undergraduate foundation programme

The Undergraduate Foundation Programme has three possible pathways, depending on what you want to study at university:  

Business (i.e. Management/Marketing/Economics etc.)  

Social Sciences (i.e. Psychology/International Relations etc.)

Law (i.e. Law, Philosophy etc.)
