Located in the heart of central London, the UCL Institute of Education (IOE) is a global hub of ideas and debate in education and related social sciences and has a true commitment to research and teaching excellence. Courses available at undergraduate level include the Education Studies BA, Media BA and Sociology BSc, whilst there are over 50 graduate taught programmes including Art and Design in Education MA, Education MA and Engineering and Education MA. Services
Orientation days take place for all non-UK students at the start of each year, and will involve information on London, opening a bank account, working in the UK, as well as practical advice on day-to-day living. Pre-sessional English lessons are also available if you need to improve your reading, writing, speaking, listening before your studies.

The UCL Institute of Education has been ranked number one for Education worldwide since 2014 in the QS World University Rankings by Subject.
In the most recent Research Excellence Framework, the UCL Institute of Education impressed across all subjects and its performance placed it in the top 10 universities in the UK. It is currently ranked first in the UK for research strength.
