The University of Salford welcomes students from South East Asia and, to show our commitment and to support our continued work in the region, the University is offering a number of scholarships to support high achieving  students  from  selected South East Asian countries: Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand,Singaporeor Vietnam.

The University of Salford is a popular choice for students from South East Asia and this scholarship is available for all eligible undergraduate (Bachelors) and postgraduate taught (Masters) programmes.

For students from South East Asia, the most popular programmes are:                        

Salford Business School: BSc and MSc Accounting and Finance, MSc International Business, MSc Islamic Banking and Finance, MSc Digital Marketing, MSc Procurement and Supply Chain Management, BSc Business and Management;                        

School of Computing, Science and Engineering: MSc Structural Engineering, BEng and MEng Civil Engineering, BEng Aeronautical Engineering;                        

School of Built Environment: BSc Quantity Surveying, BSc Architecture/ Masters Architecture, MSc Construction Management, MSc BIM and Digital Built Environment                        

School of Arts and Media: BA Interior Design, MA Media Production, MA International and Online Journalism;                        

School of Environment and Life Sciences: MSc Biomedical Science, MSc Occupational Safety, Health and Wellbeing, MSc Biotechnology                        

School of Health Sciences: MSc Media Psychology, MSc ADvanced Physiotherapy, MSc Occupational Therapy

Eligibility:

For applicants to undergraduate programmes - you must have an offer of admission and a minimum of ABB (128 UCAS points) from A Level Grades or an equivalent achievement in your high school qualification.  

- Indonesia: Diploma I (D1) with a grade of 80% or above/ Successful completion of a recognised foundation year with a grade of 70% or above/ A level at ABB, and IB at 32 or above.
- Malaysia: ABB in STPM (Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia)/ Malaysian Matriculation Certificate (Matrikulasi)  with  a  CGPA  3.2 or above / A level at ABB, and IB at 32 or above
- Myanmar: Successful completion of a recognised foundation year with a grade of 70% or above / A level at ABB, and IB at 32 or above.
- Thailand: Successful completion of a recognised foundation year with a grade of 70% or above / A level at ABB, and IB at 32 or above.
- Singapore:  ABB  in  Singapore-Cambridge  GCE  A  levels  / Polytechnic Certificate with a CGPA  3.2 or above / A level at ABB, and IB at 32 or above.
- Vietnam: Successful completion of a recognised foundation year with a grade of 70% or above /  A level at ABB, and IB at 32 or above.

For applicants to postgraduate  programmes  – you must have an offer of admissions; achieve  at least a Second Class Upper;  and meet the conditions of your offer by the admissions deadline.  

- Indonesia: Bachelor degree from recognised university with a GPA of 3.0/4.0 or equivalent
- Malaysia: Bachelor degree from recognised  university  with  a  GPA  of  3.0/4.0 or equivalent 
- Myanmar:Successful  completion  of  a recognised pre-masters programme with a grade  of 70% or above
- Thailand: Bachelor degree from recognised university with a GPA of 3.0/4.0 or equivalent
- Singapore: Bachelor  degree  from  recognised university with at least a Second Class Upper award
- Vietnam: Bang Tot  Nghiep Dai Hoc (Bachelor  degree)  with GPA of 7.0/10 or above

Criteria:

There is no separate application process. Your success for this scholarship will be assessed by your application to the chosen programme of study. To confirm your Salford – South East Asia Scholarship you must confirm your place of admission and acceptance of the scholarship by paying your  tuition  fee  deposit.
