Overview

The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance is located in London and was founded in 1986. Originally focusing on guitar and bass tuition, it now offers a range of professional courses including a Masters Degree, Degrees in Popular Music Performance, Creative Musicianship, Song writing and Music Business, a range of Cert HE courses, a fully-funded 1-year Diploma, a specialist 1-year Higher Diploma, plus a wide portfolio of part-time courses.

The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance has two dedicated teaching blocks, performance studios, recording studios and keyboard and technology suites. Alongside the world class facilities, students will also benefit from a number of partnerships with record labels, A&R, publishers and promoters.

Services for International Students

The Institute has a dedicated Wellbeing team available on-site to offer assistance, information and guidance with many aspects of student life. Students are able to book one-to-one appointments with the team to discuss personal and welfare matters in a supportive environment. The team can also offer practical advice and guidance to international students as they settle into their new surroundings.

The Institute offers English for Academic Purposes, which includes note taking, a course which includes essay writing, reference and academic writing.

Accommodation

Although the Institute cannot provide accommodation to students directly, staff can assist in finding private accommodation in the city.
