Eligibility
  • Any Chinese student applying for a full-time taught postgraduate course at BU. You must apply for a BU degree first, then apply for the Great Scholarship.
  • You must have achieved a minimum of a UK upper second-class Honours (2i) degree from a recognised Chinese institution.

Exclusions
  • Applicants for Postgraduate Diplomas are not eligible for this award
  • You cannot be in receipt of any other BU scholarships.

This year, in partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, Bournemouth University will be offering four scholarships to Chinese students applying for full-time Master’s courses in all subjects.

In order to support more Chinese students to study in the UK, the British Council, together with 31 UK universities, has launched the GREAT Scholarships 2018 – China campaign. With 145 postgraduate scholarships on offer, the total value of the scholarship scheme is nearly £1 million. This new scholarship scheme will offer an exciting opportunity for Chinese students wishing to get financial support to pursue postgraduate study in the UK. Students can apply for postgraduate courses in subjects including engineering, law, business, art and design, biosciences, IT and more, at 31 institutions across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Please note that applicants should be Chinese passport holders.
