Times Higher Education University of the Year 2021 nominations announced
The 2021 Times Higher Education Awards take place this November and the coveted University of the Year prize will be taking centre stage.
Widely regarded as the ‘Oscars’ of UK higher education, THE's gala event will take place on November 25th at the Hilton London Metropole with a select panel taking into account research, teaching and access, as well as evidence of imaginative and innovative initiatives.
John Gill, THE’s editor, said: “With almost 600 institutions, teams and individuals nominated, it really is a fantastic achievement to make it on to this year’s shortlists.
“We look forward to celebrating the incredible response of university staff in exceptionally tough circumstances when we gather for the ‘Oscars of higher education’ in November.”
The nominations for the 2021 University of the Year prize include:
- Aston University
- Cardiff Metropolitan University
- London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine
- University of Sunderland
- University of York
