WMG Workshop: Business Transformation: Service Systems
WMG – formerly known as Warwick Manufacturing Group, was established by Professor Lord Kumar Bhattacharyya in 1980 at the University Of Warwick in order to revive UK manufacturing through the use of revolutionary research and effective knowledge transfer. Though traditionally focused on providing support for manufacturing industries, WMG now has partnerships across a wide range of business sectors including healthcare, construction, pharmaceuticals, media and defence systems.
Almost 90 per cent of all Warwick masters students go straight into employment. WMG have excellent research partnerships with MNC’s in the UK and worldwide and every year these internationally renowned companies give research opportunities to WMG students for their dissertation projects and visit Warwick Career fair for the final placements of Students. WMG offers a career service which is highly proactive and offers great support to both current students and alumni.
The workshop offers the opportunity, through simulating the business environment and experiential learning, to challenge and explore new business models. The workshop overs the use of common project management techniques to enable controlled and sustained transformation.
