St Andrews is Scotland's first university and the third oldest in the English speaking world, founded in 1413. The University of St Andrews welcomes students from around the world. Approximately 30 per cent from overseas, with some 1,500 undergraduates representing more than 120 different nationalities and with over 700 international postgraduates representing more than 60 different nationalities.
